Building your brand on LinkedIn
- Linkedin is the key channel - It's the modern version of a resume and we recruiters are always snooping around there. With a good enough profile, you might not even have to apply yourself. We will find you! 😉
- Digital first gets more important! On LinkedIn you can follow, read and like interesting things within your area. Showing us recruiters that you are curious and interested in the industry.
- Dare to like, comment and share your thoughts, insights and questions. Doing so, might get you the attention from the right people. Remember it's not Facebook though! Keep it to work related interests.
What is your ambition? You choose the level but it does not have to be a too big step, just going from liking to sharing something is a step forward.
Three ways to boost your profile!
1. Update your profile fully and regularly (Make sure you have a good summary and details about what you have done in your positions/studies)
2. Have your profile in both English and your local language
3. Consider key-words. That's how we recruiters find you. We search for titels like developer and knowledge like .NET or Dynamics 365.

Our best advices in a recruitment process/Get in the head of a recruiter
Sometimes it can be difficult to understand what the recruiters look at when reviewing your application. Even though all recruiters are reviewing applications differently, we will try to help you to get in the head of a recruiter.
What recruiters look for in your CV
Mostly, recruiters look at your CV as the first thing when reviewing your application. This is your opportunity to give the best first impression and show that you are a great match for your dream job.
Imagine that you are looking at your CV for the first time. Then ask yourself: What do I notice at first glance? Is it easy to navigate in my CV? Am I communicating content irrelevant to the position or company I am applying to? What is the overall impression of my profile?
We will try to answer the questions for you and provide tips and tricks for getting invited to the first interview. Let's go!
- Make it easy to navigate in your CV - easy to read, space, headlines, structure etc.
- Highlight required experience with IT systems to make sure that the recruiter can easily find it.
- Highlight important competencies and skills – Be carefull about adding too many skills and competencies. Choose your primary competencies that match the job you want to apply for.
- Add not only your tasks in a job, but also your achievements. Recruiters love this!
So what about the personal letter? Some recruiters/companies still require one, but we recommend that you write a short summary in your CV where you sum up your experience, ambitions and goals. Skip the personal letter if it's not mandatory.
Congratulations with your first interview! - How to prepare
- Be on time - if something comes up, let the recruiter or hiring manager know asap
- Prepare your questions (interview back!), be up to date about the job description
- Prepare concrete examples - for example: Initiatives/achievements you've done, the result and what you learned etc.
- Think about what value you can bring to the company
We hope you enjoyed our tips and we wish you the best of luck! ⭐🍀
