Our recruitment stages
-
1. Review of your application
The recruiter (not a 🤖) in dialogue with the manager will review your application and, if interesting, schedule a telephone interview. All candidates will receive feedback and we work hard to give you personalized feedback within 2-3 weeks (preferably faster). However, sometimes it may take longer when managers may be involved in several projects simultaneously in addition to recruitment. -
2. Phone/Teams interview with a recruiter and ALVA-test
Someone from our internal recruitment team takes the first call with you! In our process, we also use ALVA as a recruitment tool, which is a logic- and personality test. Depending on the type of role we are recruiting for, the test will be sent out either before the phone interview or later on in the process.
-
3. Video call or psychical interview
After the first stages, you will meet recruiting manager for an interview, as well as someone in the team. Depending on logistics and location we are conducting both remote interviews, via Microsoft Teams, and psychical ones. -
4. How can you prepare
The most common video-tool we use is Teams which requires a Microsoft account. Although we are agile like water so if you have a better tool to use, then let's try it out. Prepare for the video-call as you would for a meet face to face. -
5. Yes, we focus on concrete examples
We will ask competency-based questions during our process, where we want you to give concrete examples from your previous work experience. An example of a question could be: Tell me about a time when you had to adjust to a colleague’s working style to complete a project or achieve your objectives. This question focuses on collaboration which is part of our core skills. -
6. Different scenarios of outcome
A) Congrats to your new job
...and welcome to Columbus! Now our journey starts together, hope you will like it here.
B) If you didn't go all the way
As an employer we have our needs and expectations, the same goes for you. Unfortunately, they do not always match. The case can also be that we don't have a suitable role for the moment. It is still important for us to have a continuous dialogue in case a new role or opportunity with us comes up.
Measuring your experience
After finishing the recruitment process with us you will receive a short survey on questions related to our recruitment process. This is vital information for us to improve and to make sure we are following our D&I strategy.
Hope you are willing to spend a bit of time to give us this feedback. 😊
Thanks in advance!
