Elin and Christoffer attended the program 2017-2018 - and they are now working as Business consultants. You will also read the testimonial of Andreas - former participant. How did you end up in the program?
EIin: "I had a former colleague working at Columbus that gave me a heads-up about the program and also recommended me. I was working within logistics and ERP so Digital Commerce was new. I started the program 2 years after I graduated - and it felt a little bit like starting over - but it was so worth it!"
Christoffer: "I was working with pre-sales and as a product owner. I was surfing around on different webpages and ended up at Columbus and found the job-ad. And the rest is history. 😊 I have a degree in nano-science but standing in a science lab in a white coat wasn't for me. I prefer much more to work with people and technology!"
What was included?
Elin: "We got a really great overview of our service offerings, project methodology, platforms and way of working. I got a really good understanding of how we work in projects - got a solid foundation which helps me a lot in my daily work today. Even if I only use parts of it."
Christoffer: "The program were both theoretically and practical. We got to be a part of a customer team pretty quickly. We had courses in presentation skills, consultancy, platforms and different tools. It was great to get input from senior consultants - when you already have that first contact it is much easier to go and ask, or stop someone in the corridor for a quick chat."
What do you like about your role and working at Columbus?
Elin: "The role have so much variation - each project is unique. It comes with a lot of freedom and you have one leg in technology and one in dialogue with the customer/the business. You communicate with everyone involved in the project.
We have such great atmosphere at Columbus and we have a lot of freedom with responsibility. There is good transparency, management and there is a lot of trust. And of course we have a lot of fun.😄
Christoffer: "The flexibility - and I really like to dive deep into problem solving - finding the real need and see the solution become reality.
There is a lot of freedom in choosing in what way you want to develop. For me. learning more about UX. But most of all we have a really great culture here, the engagement is high and we do fun stuff together! (As you can see)
Why did you join the program and what do you love about Columbus?

I wanted to take the next step and build a career within E-commerce. This was a great opportunity to become a part of a leading consulting company without having so much experience within the field. The program was great - and the cohesion between us participants was awesome! The culture here is very friendly and there's a high level of competence - so many to learn from. 🤓
